學術界與官方有關彰化歷史的敘述，通常都是十八世紀清代開始，以前模模糊糊或不可考，老番從縣民立場再宣講我們歷史可老早就出現在文獻上。

Taiwan will be allowed to open an economic or cultural representative office in Estonia under the name Taipei, the government agreed. 殖民者為了顯示自己偉大的成果，不小心也替被殖民者留下紀錄，所以我們才有隻字片語得以擴大延伸及研究！雖然，是殖民者史觀，但只要轉個彎，從被觀看者的角度變成觀看者，就可能逆轉整個史觀！

（一）「埔地」怎麼變成「官地」的？
1895年，台灣總督府公布「官有林野取締規則」，規定：「無證明所有權……之山林原野，算為官地」；由於原住民的土地使用、持有觀念與漢人不同，他們以巡狩、燒耕營生，移動於各自部落的領域內，千年不變，當然也沒有發生買賣行為，或向任何時代的入侵者政權登記。正因為沒有買賣契，也沒有官府登記資料，就被「依法」劃為「官地」了。
